The Brief
SAEKO’s story unfolds inside a drawer. For the physical edition, the packaging needed to carry that idea beyond the screen, transforming the game’s setting into a tangible object fans could hold, open, and keep. Rather than creating a standard box, the goal was to build a physical experience that echoed the act of opening a drawer while preserving the precision required for real production.
Packaging Direction
The drawer format was built around the opening experience. The fit between the outer case and inner tray was adjusted to create a smooth, stable slide with a deliberate tactile feel. Anti-scratch matte lamination helped support the subdued artwork and protect the surface through repeated opening, closing, handling, and assembly.
